Raspberry Inn
(Entire Home)
Bridgewater, VT
16 guests · 5 bedrooms · 7 beds · 5 baths

The Raspberry was originally built in the 1880s and is situated across the street from an open view of the Ottauquechee River. Surrounded by mountain views, this historic Vermont inn makes for a perfect romantic getaway or a cozy home base for day trips to the mountains for skiing, hiking, and sightseeing.
For the majority of the year, the inn is available for full house rentals, making it perfect for group vacations, family reunions, and weekend escapes.

Justin and Alyssa Helms purchased the Raspberry (at the time, lovingly dubbed the “Scary House”) in 2021 and poured a lot of blood, sweat and tears into the restoration process, keeping the classic Victorian elements in place while also including all the modern conveniences one expects.

Occasionally, during the fall foliage season, we will rent three of the rooms individually - each rentable room comes with a private bedroom and bathroom, while also allowing access to the shared spaces (two living rooms with TVs!) to recreate that classic Vermont B&B feel.

The Raspberry Inn features five cozy bedrooms, each with fresh new bedding, unique views, and historical furnishings. There’s a bedroom downstairs with a full bath right outside the door, while upstairs, three rooms have a bathroom en suite, and the remaining one has access to two hallway bathrooms.

We have a large side porch and smaller front porch that both provide views of the mountains (incredible all year round but especially during the fall foliage) as well as the winding waters of the river. Downtown Woodstock, VT, the Shire Town of Windsor County, is five miles down the road and, in our humble opinion, is the quintessential idyllic New England town, complete with period architecture, sprawling farms and beautiful mountain hiking trails, whose summit views cannot be topped.
